"Someone needs to buy groceries for the BBQ." With Plans, you don't assign it to a person or decide the amount upfront. You describe what needs doing, set a due date, and post it to the group.
Give it a name, optionally set an amount, choose who's splitting the cost, and pick a due date. No payer assigned — that's the whole point.
The "I'll do it" button is available immediately — any participant can claim before the due date. If nobody does, the worker fires a reminder when the due date arrives. If the amount wasn't set, the claimer enters it on the spot.
One tap. The expense is created in the claimer's name, splits are applied, and the plan disappears. No leftover clutter, no ambiguity about who paid.
If a member leaves before the plan fires, it pauses and the admin is notified. If two people try to claim at the same time, only the first one goes through. No double charges, no silent errors.
